At the moment, our Local News and What’s On segments are delivered using AI — but we believe it’s time to bring a real voice and local personality to the mic!
We’re looking for a passionate and reliable volunteer to join us as our Local News & What’s On Presenter. This is your chance to be the voice of your community — informing, inspiring, and connecting with our listeners through real stories and local updates.
🎧 What You’ll Be Doing:
- Researching and writing daily or weekly content for our Local News and What’s On segments
- Presenting your content live or pre-recorded in a clear, engaging style
- Producing and editing your segments for broadcast (training provided)
- Updating relevant pages on our website and social media with your stories
🙋‍♀️ You Could Be a Great Fit If You:
- Are passionate about local news, community events, and storytelling
- Have a confident speaking voice and enjoy communicating with an audience
- Possess good writing and research skills
- Have some experience (or interest) in audio editing and online publishing
- Are self-motivated and enjoy working independently with creative freedom
